Toronto-based UnleashVideo.com will sponsor Season 2 of the cult Web hit, "Assisted Living", written and directed by David J. Miller. Miller is also the founder of ViralFilmVideo.com.
UnleashVideo is a video sharing community focused on delivering quality entertainment to an audience across the social Web.

Season 1 of Assisted Living became a cult hit on the Web , due in part to fans reaction to the often crude humour from the performance of lead actor, stand-up comedian, Dustin White.

Season 2 (premiering December 9th at UnleashVideo.com) follows Dustin's character as he continues his quest to get back on his feet after his girlfriend kicks him to the curb and he is forced to live with his sister. His awkward, say anything approach leads to hilarious interludes with various women, homeless people and friends from his past.

Through this sponsorship, UnleashVideo has also obtained rights to Season 1, including never before seen footage. Season 1 is now available on the video sharing site, leading up to the debut of the second season exclusively at UnleashVideo.com.

"We are very happy to sponsor and collaborate with ViralFilmVideo on this new entertaining show" says Jeremy Campbell, founder of UnleashVideo.com. "Our goal with this new season is to be a conduit so audiences who missed season 1 can find it, and other quality programming. Assisted Living is an example of one of those rare web shows that could be discovered and developed for mainstream TV. Having it as our first sponsored web series will showcase not only the show, but also showcase other quality content for web viewers to engage and interact with on our site. We really think the web viewing audience is becoming more demanding for quality entertainment and UnleashVideo.com strives to fill that niche."

"We look forward to release of the new season for the show and are pleased to have UnleashVideo as a sponsor" says David J. Miller, producer of the show. "Unleash Video allowed us to stay true to the show's characters which are often edgy and controversial. With their sponsorship we've been able to take the show to the next level, while maintaining its core style. It was a natural fit for us to choose UnleashVideo as a sponsor, because of their commitment to quality entertainment. Most other video sharing sites allow vast amounts of mediocre user generated content which in many cases hurts more worthwhile entertaining work by largely go undiscovered and unnoticed."

Assisted Living Season 2 is set to release next week with 10 new episodes. The release schedule will be two episodes per week for five weeks, with new episodes appearing Tuesday's and Friday's at 12pm EST, perfect for making lunch breaks more exciting.

To see the show's first season visit the show's channel on the site, and subscribe to the video RSS feed to stay up to date on all the new episodes for the second season of Assisted Living.

UnleashVideo prides itself on being an extremely picky video upload site, attracting top creator talent as a result.

Season Two of Assisted Living, a comedy web series chronicling the hilarious misadventures of stand-up comedian Dustin White after his ex throws him out on the streets of Chicago, launches today on the heels of a recent exclusive sponsorship deal with Canada-based video sharing site Unleash Video. The show is created by by writer-director David Miller, whose production company Viral Film Video has garnered over 10 million aggregate views for Season One of Assisted Living and other web series, and incorporates ideas and situations from White’s stand-up comedy act.

“Unleash Video chose Assisted Living as our first exclusive sponsorship, and as the site’s first original series because its mix of sexual appeal with controversial humor, a content niche that we very much love. With so much video content online we needed our site’s first show to be out of the ordinary, even if it meant potentially offending some web viewers,” said Jeremy Campbell, founder of Socially Collaborative Media, Inc., which owns the Unleash Video. The show’s edgy material is well balanced by the White’s subtle straight performances.

White had a small role on internet dating web series Pitchman, which was also written and produced by Miller. “While filming season one, I got to know Dustin as an actor and was able to write material that flowed very naturally,” Miller says. “On stage he was much more free and obnoxious than he was in real life, so I decided to develop a show about a guy who was down on his luck which is something a lot of people can identify with, especially in this economy.” White adds, “It’s great to play a character that says whatever pops into his mind without worrying about the consequences.”

Unleash Video will release ten episodes of Assisted Living: Season Two (up from seven in Season One) with intentions to produce third season in the Spring.  ...less
